Monday I had the opportunity to meet up with several mission friends. It was fun to see how time has passed.
Tuesday my zone leader, Elder Jones, (the same Elder Jones I served with) went on a 24 hour split in my area. Elder Jones and I served together for 3 months and plan to room together at BYU-I.He has been my favorite companion to serve with and we had a lot of fun Tuesday catching up on life after we were no longer compactions. It was interesting to think how our companionship was over 6 months ago, but everything seemed to click just like before.
Wednesday Elder Jones and I continued the split until the late afternoon where I then rejoined with Elder Macaulay. For the split Elder Jones had only brought one white shirt and his bad had made it filthy dirty so in the morning we bought some washing powder where I then washed his shirt with one or two other things out of pure charity. When we were companions Elder Jones seemed to have an endless supply of funds sent from home (he still does). Anyway, I have been living off of my sub learning how to budget (which I am grateful for) Elder Jones would then buy a lot of nice Western food where he would also include me in. As a result I had looked for ways on how to repay his generosity. I then resorted to serving him through acts of charity. The cycle continued and eventually became a game on trying to outdo each others' charity, but it never really worked because the measurement was in different units.
Friday We had a multi zone conference which we had to leave at 5:30am to arrive by the 8:30 requirement. It was a nice day for spiritual rejuvenation. Lately I feel that I haven't felt that kind of spiritual rejuvenation as much or as strongly. I wonder if it has to do with my past companions and our personalities or other things. Regardless I have been looking into myself of the things I can tune differently to achieve that desire. As I type this out I recall several incidences where this has happened and I'm excited to continue that upward climb.
Saturday Elder Macaulay and I had a baptisimal service for Enoch Bwahene and John Kumson where their friend, Jackson preformed the baptisms. Aside from that the service wasn't well attended with the only other people there being the ward mission leader, an inactive member friend, and the sole person who was cleaning the church building for church the next day - all in all it was a good baptism though.
Sunday we had three of our investigators at church and I went around to the other district members to do baptisimal interviews.
