On Tuesday President Judd and the assistants came to our district meeting which was a lot of fun. I had a conversation with President Judd about one or two thing which turned into a hour long conversation. He has a way of making the person he is talking to feel like his most favorite person to talk to. He just radiates happiness. After District Meeting Elder Moses and I were invited to a naming ceremony of a church member's baby. Elder Moses and I came late and I don't really know when the actual announcement of the name happens, but what happens at such an event is basically a party lasting at least half the day where loud music is being played accompanied with eating and drinking. It's interesting to note that it is the same format for funerals as well.
Wednesday nothing much happened. I have noticed how Elder Moses and I have become unified. We are able to understand each others' humor, have conversations about various things and other things. Things that have helped with this has been going to the gym in the morning and having Elder Moses teach me how to make various African dishes. On Thursday he taught me how to make a stew using a leaf from a root in the yam family. It was fun to try making something new, but I don't thing I will make that same stew again.
Thursday was really hot.
Saturday Elder Moses and I went on the morning run that the gym goes on every Saturday. It was good to run and I wore my knee brace so I wasn't feeling my knee until the very end as we were running into the gym.
Sunday we had several investigators at church and two interviewed for baptism for the upcoming Saturday. We were also pleasantly surprised to have two of our investigators, Faa and Sapato come to church. Faa had been taught by other missionaries a long time ago, but had a hard time getting himself there until his friend, Sapato who has a relative in our ward and has visited in a another city, decided to come with him. They both enjoyed church which was nice. Faa also came smelling of alcohol which was interesting, but the ward welcomed them in which was good.
